Dr. Juan C. Mejia Munne joins Mayfield Brain & Spine

CINCINNATI – Mayfield Brain & Spine is proud to announce that Juan C. Mejia Munne, MD, a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in complex spinal disorders and minimally invasive spine surgery, joined the practice July 5.

Dr. Mejia Munne treats the full spectrum of spinal disorders, with particular expertise in adult cervical and thoracolumbar deformity, scoliosis, degenerative spine conditions, artificial disc replacement, sacroiliac joint fusion, spine tumors, spine trauma and Chiari malformation.

Dr. Mejia Munne sees patients at Mayfield's office in Anderson Township and performs surgeries at Mercy Anderson Hospital, The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health and The Christ Hospital and the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center.

Dr. Mejia Munne grew up in Cincinnati and is a graduate of St. Xavier High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame before attending Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He recently completed his residency in neurosurgery with an enfolded fellowship in complex spine surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. During residency, he earned awards for excellence in clinical research and compassionate care.

Dr. Mejia Munne is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
