Giving
The Mayfield Education & Research Foundation supports 3 distinct priorities: Innovative Research, Medical Education & Training, and Community Education. By targeting projects that fall within one of these three key areas, we aim to provide inspiration for individuals at every point in the entire arc of the healing process: from researcher physician, from pathologist to surgeon, from patient to caregiver.
Since 2011, Mayfield Foundation has funded more than $1.1 million in grants and projects. Over $900,000 has been awarded to 18 primary investigators, supporting Innovative Research projects involving 70 physicians, scientists, fellows, residents, and medical students. At the same time, over $156,000 has been committed to support Medical Education & Training initiatives, including lectures, courses, clinics, and conferences that provide hands-on learning alongside classroom instruction and collegial discussion for more than 900 training and practicing neurosurgeons.
