Dr. Zachary J. Plummer joins Mayfield Brain & pine
CINCINNATI–Mayfield Brain & Spine is proud to announce that Zachary Plummer, MD, a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in complex spinal disorders and minimally invasive spine surgery, joined the practice on July 5.
Dr. Plummer has particular expertise in the treatment of complex spinal disorders, scoliosis, revision spine surgery, degenerative spine conditions, sacroiliac joint fusion, spine tumors, spine trauma, Chiari malformation and hydrocephalus. He also has a special interest in global health.
Dr. Plummer will see patients at Mayfield's office in West Chester and will perform surgeries at the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center, Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital and The Christ Hospital.
An Indiana native, Dr. Plummer earned his medical degree from the Indiana University College of Medicine. He completed a residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in complex spine surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. His education and training include experience on medical mission trips to Mongolia, Nepal and Tanzania.
Dr. Plummer is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and AO Spine North America.
