Dr. Craig Kilburg to Join Mayfield Brain & Spine

CINCINNATI–Mayfield Brain & Spine is proud to announce the hiring of Craig Kilburg, a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery. He opens his practice in Cincinnati in September.

Dr. Kilburg has particular expertise in endovascular and open approaches for the treatment of brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and arteriovenous fistulas. He also performs carotid endarterectomy, carotid angioplasty and stenting, embolization of tumors, and treats ischemic stroke, intracranial atherosclerosis, cavernous malformations, vascular lesions of the spine, Chiari malformations, brain tumors, and spinal disorders.

Dr. Kilburg will see patients at the Mayfield office in Norwood and will perform surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital, The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health, Bethesda North Hospital, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, and the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center.

Dr. Kilburg earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He completed a residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in endovascular surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He continued his training with a fellowship in cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery at Baptist Neurological Institute – Baptist Health System in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Kilburg is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
