Dr. Randall Hlubek to join Mayfield Brain & Spine
Mayfield Brain & Spine is proud to announce the hiring of Randall Hlubek, MD, a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery and spine reconstruction. He opens his practice in Cincinnati on July 15, 2019.
Dr. Hlubek (pronounced LU-beck) treats the full spectrum of spinal disorders. He has particular expertise in the treatment of complex spinal disorders, including scoliosis, spinal deformity, and spine tumors. He also performs neurosurgery for diseases and disorders of the brain.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hlubek has co-authored more than 30 papers and book chapters and has presented lectures on spine topics around the country. In 2017 he participated in a global spine outreach program in Monterrey, Mexico, that provided surgical treatment for pediatric patients who did not have access to spine deformity surgeons.
Dr. Hlubek will see patients at the Mayfield office in Norwood and will perform surgery at Bethesda Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health, and the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center. Dr. Hlubek earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He subsequently completed a residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in spine deformity at the Barrow Neurological Institute and St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. He also completed a fellowship in spine deformity and minimally invasive surgery at the San Diego Spine Foundation.
Dr. Hlubek is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, North American Spine Society, and Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.
