Andrew Ringer, MD, Elected Chairman of Mayfield Brain & Spine

CINCINNATI – Andrew Ringer, MD, a neurosurgeon and cerebrovascular specialist, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Mayfield Brain & Spine, one of the nation's largest and most respected groups of neurosurgeons. Dr. Ringer assumed his position January 1, 2019, for a three-year term.

He replaces Arthur Arand, MD, who served as Chairman from 2013 through 2018. Dr. Arand continues his full-time work as a Mayfield spine specialist.

Dr. Ringer serves as Chief of Neurosciences for TriHealth and Director of the Division of Neurosurgery at Good Samaritan Hospital. He is a board member of the Mayfield Education & Research Foundation.

Dr. Ringer is dedicated to treating patients with neurovascular disease and to finding new neurosurgical techniques for the treatment of aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, carotid artery disease, and stroke. He has served on the Medical Advisory Board of The Brain Aneurysm Foundation since 2013.
