Sonia Lipp hired to manage Mayfield Surgical Innovation Center lab
CINCINNATI– The Mayfield Clinic is proud to announce the hiring of Sonia Lipp as Laboratory Manager of the Mayfield Surgical Innovation Center, a state-of-the-art training facility for spine and cranial surgery technology and minimally invasive procedures.
Ms. Lipp will oversee clinical and pre-clinical educational programs, the acquisition of technologies and materials, and the development of partnerships with device manufacturers, academic centers and physician practices.
Ms. Lipp comes to Mayfield from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where she served as a laboratory manager and senior research assistant from 2008 to 2014. She previously had served as a lab associate and clinical instructor at UC. She served as an associate scientist at Ethicon Endo-Surgery in 2015.
Ms. Lipp earned a bachelor's degree in biopsychology from UC as well as a clinical research professional certificate. She previously earned an associate's degree in veterinary technology at UC.

The Mayfield Surgical Innovation Center, located on the second floor of the Mayfield Spine Surgery Center, is a collaboration of the Mayfield Education & Research Foundation, Mayfield Spine Surgery Center, and Mayfield Clinic.
