Dr. Lincoln Jiménez joins Mayfield Brain & Spine
CINCINNATI– Mayfield Brain & Spine is proud to announce the hiring of Lincoln Jiménez, MD, a neurosurgeon who treats a wide range of diseases and disorders of the brain and spine. Dr. Jiménez opens his practice in Cincinnati on Friday.
Dr. Jiménez specializes in vascular neurosurgery, including open and endovascular approaches, for the treatment of aneurysms, ischemic stroke, vascular malformations, and arteriovenous malformations. He also treats spinal disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, Chiari malformations, and tumors of the brain and spine.
He will see patients at Mayfield's office in Norwood and will perform surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital, Bethesda North Hospital, and The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health.
Dr. Jiménez comes to Mayfield from Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, which he joined in 2015. He served as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Medical Director of Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Florida, Jacksonville, from 2013 to 2015.
Dr. Jiménez earned his medical degree from Universidad Metropolitana de Barranquilla in Colombia. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at the University of Puerto Rico and a fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He also earned an Executive MBA from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
