Dr. Matthew Merz joins Mayfield Brain & Spine
CINCINNATI– Mayfield Brain & Spine is proud to announce the hiring of Matthew Merz, MD, a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, to provide nonsurgical treatment for patients who experience acute and chronic pain.
Dr. Merz specializes in the treatment of pain due to spine and joint disorders. He performs injections, including trigger point and large joint injections, and electromyograms. He sees patients in Mayfield’s offices in West Chester, Fairfield, and Norwood.
Dr. Merz was in practice with Group Health TriHealth Physician Partners from 2001 to 2016. He also served as medical director of the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Bethesda North Hospital from 2005 to 2016. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UC Medical Center.
