Mayfield Physicians Named to National, Regional 'Best Doctors' Lists
The Mayfield Clinic is proud to be well represented in the latest regional and national lists of leading physicians. In December, Cincy magazine published the 2011-2012 list of area physicians named by Best Doctors in America®, a national database that includes more than 40,000 physicians in more than 40 specialties.
In January, Cincinnati Magazine published its 2011 listing of Top Doctors who practice in the eight counties that make up the Greater Cincinnati region (Hamilton, Warren, Butler and Clermont in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, and Kenton in Kentucky; and Dearborn in Indiana).
Five Mayfield doctors are included in the 2010-2011 listing of Best Doctors in America®, and 13 Mayfield Clinic physicians are included in Cincinnati Magazine's 2011 listing of Top Doctors in Greater Cincinnati.
Michael Gilligan, President and CEO of the Mayfield Clinic, commended the physicians included in one or both of the prestigious listings. He also noted that all of Mayfield's 20 neurosurgeons are superbly trained and highly skilled. "Mayfield is one of the most respected neurosurgical practices in America," Mr. Gilligan said. "The neurosurgeons who are recruited to join Mayfield are leaders in their field, and the residents who come to train with us are among the best and brightest in the world."
Best Doctors in America® is a national database that includes more than 40,000 physicians in 43 specialties. Cincy magazine used this database in listing the area's best doctors in its December-January issue.
The specialists were asked whom they would send a loved one to for treatment in their specialty. The following Mayfield physicians were named in the neurological surgery category:
Charles Kuntz, IV, MD
George Mandybur, MD
Ronald Warnick, MD
Mario Zuccarello, MD
In addition, Mayfield's Todd Abruzzo, MD, was listed in the radiology category.
